2 0 2 1

I usually don't pay much attention to the new year as being some kind of fresh start but this new year has felt different for all the obvious reasons and I'm actually trying to intentionally bring some of that new year energy into my daily. It's been hard to find energy to put into Mule Mother because everything feels so tenuous and uncertain, but in December I started a collab with two friends on a really cool project and it's helped bring some life and energy back into how I'm feeling about the biz. The project, conceived by Amanda Rekunyk (@amanda1.3.1.2 on IG), is an in depth astrology journal that is set up so that you have a layout of your natal chart alongside a monthly journal section that helps you understand how astrology effects you daily over a 12 month period. It's beautifully laid out and illustrated by Bria Miller (@encouraginghonesty on IG) and bound by yours truly. The book came together so easily and smoothly and we somehow managed to get them in peoples hands before the holidays. You can find them for now in my shop and at these fine Halifax spots:

Venus Envy

The Float Centre

Glitterbean Cafe

Here's a bit of what they look like

AND to help you fill out the book Amanda is doing monthly zoom sessions where you talk about whats happening in the sky and how it will effect you during the month. Go find Amanda on IG for more info on the next session (@amanda1.3.1.2) ALSO you should probably go have a peek at Bria's shop, Bria Makes Things she just updated it and there are so many goodies to choose from!

During the last part of 2020 I stocked some other new shops with lots of new books so if you're out and about in the Maritimes and happen to cross paths with one of these spots, be sure to stop in! They all have such a sweet selection...

Hounds of Vintage in Sackville, NB

Visitors Shop in Saint John, NB

Boyd's Pharmacy in Halifax, NS (coming soon!)

Lastly- I made my December donation super late as the reality of the situation is that I didn't sack the 10% away and then life happened. Anywho, December was a busy month and I was able to give $250 to a community mutual aid fund in support of an Indigenous single mother who was fleeing abuse.

In 2021, I'm going to change my monthly donations to 5% down from 10% (money is tight, 10% has been hard to keep up with) and then in addition, all the proceeds from customizing the Astro Journal (did you know you can stamp the cover with your astro sign(s) instead of the moon???) will get lumped into the monthly donation as well.
